Below is a Q&A with this author.
Who’s your favourite author?
Dean Koontz. He writes beautifully and has meaning and mystery in his books.
Who is your favourite literary character?
There are so many! Okay - Gandalf I think. He is fearless, represents good over evil, and prepared to give his life for others.
What’s the first book you remember reading?
One of the Famous Five books by Enid Blyton. I loved the idea of kids solving mysteries, going off on their own and outwitting adults!
How would you describe your novel?
A time travelling adventure full of excitement, love and derring-do.
What three things would you take if you were to be stranded on a desert island?
My laptop, (and some way of recharging it!) wine, and after I had a nice little holiday, a genie in a bottle so I could wish to be rescued!
Sarah is a disillusioned history teacher deserted by her husband and caught in her dull life. Enter John. John is a 'Time Needle' who is looking for a 'Stitch' - someone he can send back in time to help others. (Stitch in Time?) Sarah accepts the job, goes back to 1912 London, 1847 Kansas and 1928 London, all the while falling for John. This is highly entertaining, unfeasible, deliciously humorous, feel-good stuff laced with some fascinating slices of history. I am not sure it begins a series. It should for I would certainly enjoy more of Sarah's exploits. Choc Lit, the publisher of this novel, was the 2012 Publisher of the Year as voted for by the Festival of Romance.
