Ronald Asprey is a freelance journalist and writer living in London but with a passion for travel to the furthest flung corners of the planet. Among many other travels, his most epic journey to date involved travelling up the Karakoram Highway in Pakistan through heavily-armed bandit country, then zig-zagging overland across China for 3 months and coming home via further exploration of Sri Lanka. His latest project sees him back in the UK to write a book on the statues of London, The Big Short Break having been his first published book.
A sumptuous book highlighting various holiday destinations around the world. The ethos of this book is that we should take more short breaks, to escape the daily routine and relax, and not have to return home to a huge backlog of work that makes us feel we had no holiday at all. Suggestions for what to do each day are provided along with a host of other information. You can link straight through to The Big Short Break website if you want to take them on up their suggestions and they will take care of everything for you, or simply rifle through the book for ideas. The photography in this book is stunning and the perfect gift for anyone who wants to find that extra special get away holiday. If this book doesn't make you want to get away from it all nothing will!
