Books By Scarlett & Marlon West, with Veronica Clark - Author

Scarlett West was just 13 years-old when she was targeted by a white, female groomer, who pimped her out and passed her directly into the hands of a grooming gang. She was repeatedly raped and beaten but finally escaped two years ago. Now aged 20, she is in a happy relationship and lives with her boyfriend in the North-West of England. She is also supporting her dad’s call for major reform.

Marlon West was invited to consult on Baroness Louise Casey’s National Audit on Group-based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse last January. It allowed historic victims to come forward and share their stories. Based on its reccomendations, the Government is launching a three-year independent inquiry into a crisis Marlon believes is on an epidemic scale. It will be led by Baroness Anne Longfield CBE. Marlon will be heavily involved and is hoping it will result in a better national strategy for at-risk children and tougher sentences for perpetrators.
