Mary Grace Marquiss has been an art teacher, author, and artist for over thirty years. With a degree in psychology the most provocative element to her paintings is their personal content. Her art has received numerous awards from the Oregon Watercolor Society. She is a fifth generation Oregonian and has lived in Bend, Oregon for thirty-three years.
Her memoir, Behind the Painting contains the personal story behind ten of her paintings over a thirty year period.
