Kathryn Apanowicz first met Richard Whiteley when she was just nine years old. At Seventeen she began what was to be an on-off relationship with him throughout the rest of his life. Born in Leeds, Kathryn trained as an actress and worked on the stage and in television series such as Angels and EastEnders. In Yorkshire she is well known as a radio broadcaster with her own programme. Kathryn lived with Richard Whiteley for the last eight years of his life in a home they created together in the Dales. They had a close and loving relationship and travelled the world together.
