The Cross: Crucified with Christ, and Christ Alive in Me Audiobook

The Cross: Crucified with Christ, and Christ Alive in Me

Author: J. C. Ryle Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: January 2020

I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 I want to tell you what perhaps the greatest Christian who ever lived (the Apostle Paul) thought of the cross of Christ. Believe me, the cross is of deepest importance. This is no mere question of controversy; this is not one of those points on which men may agree to differ and feel that differences will not shut them out of heaven. A man must be right on this subject, or he is lost forever. Heaven or hell, happiness or misery, life or death, blessing or cursing in the last day - all hinges on the answer to this question: "What do you think about the cross of Christ?" Let me show you: 1. What the apostle Paul did not glory in. 2. What Paul did glory in. 3. Why all Christians should think and feel about the cross like Paul.

How to Bring Men to Christ Audiobook

How to Bring Men to Christ

Author: Reuben A. Torrey Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: November 2019

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did exhort you by us; we beseech you in Christ's name, be ye reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:20 How to Bring Men to Christ sheds light on how to reach the lost with the gospel - not new light, but tested and true light. Reuben A. Torrey will show you how to use appropriate, applicable Bible passages to reach every kind of lost individual. Regardless of the angle the lost may use to try to justify why they remain in their sad condition, Torrey offers Scripture passages and biblical principles that have proven to reach even the most stubborn of the unsaved. This is an excellent resource and training manual to equip individuals and groups to share the gospel with the lost. Some of the topics covered in this book: * Dealing with yourself first * Dealing with the indifferent or careless * Dealing with people who desire to be saved, but do not know how * Dealing with those who desire to be saved but who have difficulties * Dealing with those who entertain false hopes * Dealing with those who lack assurance and dealing with backsliders * Dealing with professed skeptics and infidels * Dealing with the complaining * Dealing with those who wish to put off a decision until some other time * Dealing with the willful and the deceived * The baptism of the Holy Spirit

Daniel, Man of God: Being a Man of Character in a Babylon World Audiobook

Daniel, Man of God: Being a Man of Character in a Babylon World

Author: Dwight L. Moody Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: October 2019

Riches and honour and life are the remuneration of humility and of the fear of the LORD. - Proverbs 22:4 God will exalt us when the time is right. We needn't try to promote ourselves; we needn't struggle for position. Let God put us where He wants us and let us be true to God. It is better for a man to be right with God, even if he holds no great earthly position. It is honest and humble men whom God will promote, if He so desires. This study illustrates what Daniel did, and also what Daniel didn't do, which caught the attention of God and kings alike. Few are the men in history of Daniel's caliber, even though the principles he followed can be implemented by all. Are you ready to be a truly great man, one that will cause God and men to take notice? About the Author Dwight L. Moody, determined to make a fortune, arrived in Chicago and started selling shoes. But Christ found him and his energies were redirected into full-time ministry. And what a ministry it was. Today, Moody's name still graces a church, a mission, a college, and more. Moody loved God and men, and the power of a love like that impacts generations.

Sowing and Reaping: Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. - Galatians 6:7 Audiobook

Sowing and Reaping: Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. - Galatians 6:7

Author: Dwight L. Moody Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: September 2019

Do not deceive yourselves; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows in the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8) We can't get away from the principle of reaping what we sow. If we sow good seed, we anticipate a great harvest. But if we sow weeds, we'll harvest no more than we sowed. The same is true spiritually and practically. If we want a reward in heaven, we must live for Christ. On the other hand, if we lie, cheat, swear, steal, get drunk, use drugs, or otherwise fulfill the lusts of the flesh, the reality is we'll pay the consequences both now and in eternity. No matter how much society tries to convince us otherwise, this law has proven to be true without fail. This is the bright truth held before us in this little book - if we sow good seed, we will reap a great harvest. While sowing and caring for the seed sown isn't without work, the promise of a great harvest is what keeps us going and what brings joy to our labors. Be assured that it is not in vain to spend much time pruning, weeding, and carefully watching over the garden of your heart and the hearts of those you love.

The Ministry of Intercession Audiobook

The Ministry of Intercession

Author: Andrew Murray Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: May 2019

If the answer to prayer is so positively promised in Scripture, why are there so many unanswered prayers today (often misinterpreted as a "no")? Scripture teaches us that answer to prayer depends upon certain conditions. Christ spoke of faith, of perseverance, of praying in His name, of praying in the will of God. But all these conditions were summed up in the one central statement: If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. It becomes clear that the power to pray the effectual prayer of faith depends upon the life. Let Andrew Murray show you what it means to live in Christ, and let his challenge for genuine intercessory prayer change your life - and the lives of those you are praying for. About the Author Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a well-known South African writer, teacher, and pastor. More than 2 million copies of his books have been sold, and his name is mentioned among the other great leaders of the past such as Charles Spurgeon, T. Austin-Sparks, George Muller, D.L. Moody, and more.

The Way of Spiritual Encouragement Audiobook

The Way of Spiritual Encouragement

Author: Zacharias Tanee Fomum Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: August 2018

These messages that constitute the book, "The Way of Spiritual Encouragement," were written while l was away from Cameroon to seek God's face and sort out many things with Him. They have been a great blessing to me. l was shocked by what the Lord was saying to me and, by His grace, will say to those He will allow to read these messages. My own faith in Him grew as l wrote them. l have been deeply comforted to know that God is so good, so loving and so gracious. My desire is to love Him more and more.l have received answers to many of my questions, and my problems have found solutions in Him. Somehow, in a way l cannot explain, love has welled up in my heart for all His children - my beloved brothers and sisters in Him - irrespective of whatever differences we have had. He has been good to me.Because these messages were written over a period of ten days, l have not done very much thinking about them. l have just allowed what God has put on my heart to flow out, and sometimes He has been gracious to allow things to flow out which l had never seen.If you approach them as the sharing of something from my heart to yours, you will, by God's grace, be blessed. If you approach them as talks on doctrine, you may have problems. l suggest that you just open your heart to God and receive what He has for you.l pray that you should read all the messages, for it may be that what God has for your need may not be in the first message nor in the second, but somewhere else.If you receive a little encouragement and assurance in the Lord as you read this book, l will consider that as a bonus. The blessing to my own spiritual life, received as l wrote, more than compensates me.May the Lord God, the Author and Finisher of our faith, be magnified for all the grace that He has shown to me, who am but one of His most undeserving servants.

Pilgrim's Progress Audiobook

Pilgrim's Progress

Author: John Bunyan Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: January 2018

Bonus - Includes Part II Often disguised as something that would help him, evil accompanies Christian on his journey to the Celestial City. As you walk with him, you'll begin to identify today's many religious pitfalls. These are presented by men such as Pliable, who turns back at the Slough of Despond; and Ignorance, who believes he's a true follower of Christ when he's really only trusting in himself. Each character represented in this allegory is intentionally and profoundly accurate in its depiction of what we see all around us, and unfortunately, what we too often see in ourselves. But while Christian is injured and nearly killed, he eventually prevails to the end. So can you. The best part of this book is the Bible verses added to the text. The original Pilgrim's Progress listed the Bible verse references, but the verses themselves are so impactful when tied to the scenes in this allegory, that they are now included within the text of this book. The text is tweaked just enough to make it readable today, for the young and the old. Youngsters in particular will be drawn to the original illustrations included in this wonderful classic.

The Pursuit of God Audiobook

The Pursuit of God

Author: A. W. Tozer Narrator: Mark Christensen Release Date: January 2018

To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem that will be instantly understood by every worshipping soul: We taste Thee, O Thou Living Bread, And long to feast upon Thee still: We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead And thirst our souls from Thee to fill. Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. Let A. W. Tozer’s pursuit of God spur you also into a genuine hunger and thirst to truly know God. About the Author Among the more than 40 books that he authored, at least two are regarded as Christian classics: The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy. His books impress on the reader the possibility and necessity of a deeper relationship with God.
