Caroline Hurley - Editorial Expert

Caroline Hurley is an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Literacy. Caroline is delighted to be able to contribute to LoveReading4Kids and combine two of her passions, inclusive education and reading.

Caroline reads as often as she can, both indulging in her love for the classics, modern fiction and non-fiction texts on all things teaching and learning and inclusion.

Having previously held leadership roles for pastoral provision, equalities, PSHE, MFL and KS3, Caroline appreciates that her current responsibilities enable her to bring together her experience to lead on all aspects of inclusive education and underpin this by strengthening foundational literacy skills. She is fully dedicated to her own CPD and that of the people she leads. She recognises that making time to explore texts and written research has an integral role to play in educational and professional development.

It is the only way to cover subjects in depth, getting to the roots of what matters in education and if not finding practical solutions directly, providing the stimulus and space to think deeply about how to maximise the positive educational experiences of all young people.

Alongside her classroom and leadership experience, she holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Warwick and the NPQSL qualification.

As an Editorial Contributor to LoveReading4Schools, Caroline brings a practising school leader’s perspective to our book recommendations and content, helping us ensure that what we share is relevant, inclusive and genuinely useful to teachers, schools and the young people they support.
