Joanna Beer - Editorial Expert
Jo Beer lives in Brighton and is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Chichester, following more than 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in primary schools. She specialises in supporting trainee teachers and teachers in schools to develop effective, evidence-informed pedagogy and confident classroom practice. Jo contributes to the development of the English curriculum and leads work on the Religious Education curriculum. Her research interests centre on teacher presence, as well as the connections between story, play, and children’s spiritual development. Jo is a member of the English Association's Early Years and Primary Committee and the UKLA ITE Special Interest Group and enjoys nothing better than reading and chatting about books and stories.
