Based on historical, cultural, socio-legal and socio-religious aspects as well as on the context provided by both constitutional law and the laws regulating the relationship between state and church, Benedict Naarmann asks under which assumptions religious values and communities in Germany, England, India and Pakistan are protected and how existing similarities as well as differences can be explained using a comparative legal approach.
