Kéli is a reckless teenager who dreams of only one thing: undergoing the Katafali ritual to become a man in the eyes of his tribe.

However, the young boy struggles to fully embrace the peaceful philosophy of his people, as well as the wise advice of his elders... It's then that Anansi, the sorcerer, has a vision of apocalypse: the village will be invaded by foreigners endowed with a mysterious and deadly power! The clan members now face a dilemma: how to defend themselves against this enemy when their beliefs dictate non-violence? Does Kéli have the opportunity to prove his worth here?
