Africa

Africa Synopsis

Around the world many animals face threats to their existence. The destruction of their habitats, hunting, and pollution are all factors that may cause their populations to decline. In Africa, such endangered animals include lowland gorillas, white rhinoceroses, and Malagasy ground boas.

This book looks at the dangers faced by these threatened species and describes how people are trying to help them. Illustrated with superb photographs, the book has distribution maps and up-to-date information on status and populations.
