This collection of essays celebrates Frederick Goddard Lawrence, a member of the faculty of theology of Boston College for more than forty years, for not only his original theological and philosophical work as a formidable philosopher of hermeneutics, a leading interpreter of the thought of Bernard Lonergan, and an inspiring teacher but also the authenticity and integrity of his scholarship, his teaching, and his life.
