In Natalie Goldbergs 1996 edition of Living colour, she presented twelve essays on painting and writing and the importance of living a creative life. Seventeen years later, these same stories are just as (if not more) poignant and in Living colour, we are presenting them in a new, redesigned and expanded edition. This revised edition includes the twelve essays that appeared in the original book, as well as a new introduction on how Natalie's work in both art and writing has evolved since 1996, plus a new essay on the importance of paying attention to our surroundings.
New interactive exercises in painting, seeing and writing will be included with each essay, enabling readers to contemplate their own creative process and experiment as they read along. Natalie's exceptional writing and her approach to making art will speak volumes to a new generation of aspiring artists who dream of living a more creative life.
