Out Of Focus Synopsis

A riveting true story recounting the frightening, yet inspiring experiences of a French photographer who finds herself trapped in the heart of the Pakistani riots. Photographer Sarah Caron is commissioned by Time magazine to travel to Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and take portraits of Pakistani Prime Leader, Benazir Bhutto, whose democratic ideals positioned her as Enemy No.

1 of the Islamic state. Shortly after conducting this exclusive interview, Benazir Bhutto is assassinated, setting Rawalpindi aflame in the fires of protest and resistance.

Sarah finds herself on the battlefield, armed only with her camera, which proves to be a more powerful weapon than expected. Dedicating herself for a year to documenting the impassioned chaos, Sarah becomes a vigilante of sorts: capturing the intimate details of the spirited political warriors by day, and uploading them in the secret of her home by night, all the while evading the forces of Islamic terrorists.
