When a bloodstained effigy made of body parts is found in a park, DI Daniel Graves must discover what it means and find the person responsible. Symbols at the crime scene suggest the occult. Who is behind this horrific scene and what's his purpose?

As Graves and his partner, DI Charlie Palmer, begin to investigate, they enlist the help of Molly Gooding, a talented professor specialising in the arcane.

Then the next crime scene is found. More blood, more symbols, and again, out in the open.
