In early 1980s Los Angeles, teenager Alex Jordanov and an up-and-coming rapper named Ice-T were among the founders of a club called the Radio that would change music forever. Against all odds, these two young outsiders helped build a scene that launched a cultural revolution.

Open for just two explosive years, the Radio was a club, but also a moment-a place that helped spawn West Coast hip-hop, and which drew the likes of Prince, Van Halen, Madonna, and Michael Jackson, who recruited dancers from the Radio's ranks.

This is the story of the club that started it all and set Ice-T on the path to stardom.
