The Kite Synopsis

This book is a children's story about a kite and a young boy created by two friends during the coronavirus lockdowns. It's about loss-- the loss of something that might be dear to a child, or the loss of freedom. It was written by a boy in an attempt to explain what he was feeling with the sudden loss of daily life routines and the ability to meet people.

It's a book that illustrates how a child can feel loss or isolation, and contrasts the sadness of feeling alone with the freedom experienced at the beach or while on a vacation. The author hopes it will help other children deal with feelings of loss or loneliness, especially by letting them know they aren't alone and there's another kid out there that felt the same way.
