Revised and updated edition of Jacqueline Simpson's 1970s study of folklore traditions in the counties on both sides of the Welsh Border, including stories of witches, ghosts and giants. There are tales relating to local monuments and features of the landscape and tales explaining some of the traditions that are still upheld in the twenty-first century.
