Romance writer Stevie was devastated when, pregnant with her first child, her husband ran off with another woman. Four years on, she has pulled her life back together. She has a lively son, Danny, and, in a few weeks' time, she will marry new love Matthew. The betrayals of the past seem behind her.
But one night, Stevie receives a visit from Adam McLean - the husband of her friend , Jo. Adam claims Jo and Matthew are having an affair.
