The shortlists for one of the biggest literary prizes have just been announced. Split into 5 categories covering General Fiction, Debut Novels, Poetry, Biographies and Children’s books the winner of each category then fight it out for the ultimate prize. You will hear a lot more about this in the New Year but for the minute do have a look at two of the biographies we particularly like. If You Don’t Know Me , FT journalist Sathnam Sanghera writes about his childhood in Wolverhampton dealing with his father's and sister's schizophrenia and Chagall, a sumptuous and beautifully illustrated look at the Russian Jewish artist. |
