Waldemar Rebizant is Assc. Prof. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland, and Vice Dean for Development and International Cooperation. His research areas include: power system protection and control, digital signal processing, applications of artificial intelligence, digital measurements, adaptive protection schemes, analysis of power system transients, digital simulation and voltage stability. He is the author of more than 130 papers published in journals and conference proceedings. He is a Humboldt Foundation Research Fellow and Senior Member of IEEE PES.

Janusz Szafran is Full Prof. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland; former Dean of the Faculty and Vice Rector of WUT for Teaching; and Doctor Honoris Causa of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany.
