He earned a doctorate in adult education from the University of Georgia, USA, specializing in adult developmental studies. Walker is the author of eleven books, including Hell's Broke Loose in Georgia and The Edge of Terror. He served with Jim McAfee on the Mercer University Board of Trustees.
