Hesket: A Norfolk Haunting is Sara Bayat's debut work of fiction which formed the creative dissertation of her recently awarded PhD at the University of East Anglia; she was also awarded an MA with distinction from UEA in 2018. She has had some short stories published in Prism International and The Malahat Review, and was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, amongst others. Anna Metcalfe, author of Blind Water Pass and Chrysalis, was Sara's PhD thesis examiner, and she has described this book as "original, haunting, insightful and beautifully written".
