Roland Bauerschmidt is a University Lecturer in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge. His work mainly focuses on the applications of probability theory and analysis to topics in statistical mechanics. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia in 2013, and was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton at the School of Mathematics, and a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University. He received the IUPAP Young Scientist Prize in 2015. David C. Brydges is a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. He works on quantum field theory and statistical mechanics, with an interest in functional integration and probability. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, and was a Professor at the University of Virginia.
