Books By John M. Reisman - Author

John M. Reisman was an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Depaul University and a clinical psychologist specializing in children and adolescents. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University in 1958 and began his career at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and then as Chief Psychologist at Rochester Child Guidance Clinic and a teacher at the University of Rochester. Dr. Reisman became Professor of Psychology at Memphis State University, where he was Director of the Psychology Clinic, and then Professor at Depaul University in Chicago, where he was Director of Clinical Training. Dr. Reisman was a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the author of numerous scholarly articles and six books, including A History of Clinical Psychology, Toward the Integration of Psychotherapy, The Anatomy of Friendship, and Principles of Psychotherapy with Children.
