Mountaineer and explorer Harish Kapadia has made a unique contribution to our knowledge of the Himalaya: as editor of the Himalayan Journal; through his numerous books; and as a leader and organiser of countless expeditions over a 50-year career. Harish has climbed more than 30 Himalayan peaks and has led 150 exploratory expeditions across Himalayan passes. He has been recognised by numerous international organisations and is the recipient of many awards.
