Gaz Bisht is an energy executive who serves on the board of a UK-listed company. After graduating from the Indian Institutes of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad and IIT Delhi, he emigrated to Australia in the early '90s, and later spent several years in Asia-in Jakarta, Indonesia in the mid-1990s and in Beijing, China, in the mid-2000s, witnessing firsthand the working styles of these governments and the role they played in the extraordinary growth of these countries.
