C. Reid Nichols is the president of Marine Information Resources Corporation. He is a retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel with experience in military logistics and intelligence. His applied research interests include physical oceanography and providing environmental characterization to support researchers such as naval architects involved in testing innovative vessels, engineers involved in the development of oceanographic platforms, and operators interested in decision aid products that help protect property and save lives.
