Baoyan CHENG is an Associate Professor at the College of Education, University of Hawaii.  Having received her doctoral degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, her work focuses on issues related to equity and quality of education in an increasingly globalized context. Her recent research explores international student mobility with a special focus on Chinese students studying overseas. She has published various articles and book chapters on Chinese education.

Le LIN is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Hawaii and the Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Postdoctoral Fellow. His research interests include economic and organizational sociology, work/occupations, education and medical sociology, with a special focus on economic, educational and social changes in contemporary China.
