Alexander T. Vazsonyi is the John I. and Patricia J. Buster Endowed Professor of Family Sciences, Professor of Psychology, and Professor of Sociology at the University of Kentucky. He is recognized for his work on adolescence, particularly his cross-cultural comparative research, as well as on self-control theory, and has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Daniel J. Flannery is the Dr Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor and Director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention, Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University, Ohio. From 1998 to 2011 he served as founding Director of the Institute for the Study and Prevention of Violence at Kent State University.
