When we thought of giving away lots of Signed First Editions as part of our Christmas Promotions little did we know how big it would become.

What started as a dozen or so kind promises from publishers and authors snowballed into multiple copies of nearly 50 titles across both Lovereading and Lovereading4kids websites and over 40,000 entries! So a huge vote of thanks to the publishers for providing the signed editions.

 

Since last Friday we have been burning the midnight oil to select the winners and box up and send these rare and valuable books to the winners. In the process our London office have become experts with random number generators, and as you can see from the stunning picture our East Grinstead office have become experts at wrapping.

Here’s what one of the lucky winners of one of the free books has kindly said:

‘I would like to say a huge thank you for a wonderful surprise. It was a very stressful day at work today and I came home with a migraine and a desperate longing for the Christmas holidays. Amongst some parcels with christmas orders was one that I was not expecting. It was a signed first edition of How to Fall in Love by Cecelia Ahern. I was especially touched by the fact it was so beautifully wrapped. After dinner I will put my feet up and enjoy it. Thank you again, Alice Matthews’
