What's it like in the life of an A-level student in the world of books?

My name is Izzie, I'm 17 and I'm just a girl who likes books.

As an A-level student, most of my time is taken up turning pages of a textbook. Despite this, I regularly try to find the time to indulge in an non-fiction book as it great way to expand your knowledge and is a gateway into imagination. This might have been what inspired me to take English Lanagage & Linguisitics as an A-level.

I've always loved reading, since the age of two I used to drag novels off the bookshelf and stare at the pages (even though I could only read the odd word). From that day, I've been determined to learn new and exciting lexis, the longer the word, the better! Growing up, I've developed a passion for animals and Science, which is when I first started to read non-fiction. I found it fascinating how you could just dive into a book and come out with endless knowledge.

In terms of A-levels, textbooks are my fact books.... and there is a lot to learn. A good thing about A-levels is the fact you can choose your own subjects that you are passionate about. A large disadvanatge however, is the the amount of content you have to learn. Sometimes I can find myself doing hours of revision after class, meaning I have little time to relax. When I do have the spare time, I tend to hang out with my friends or stay at home and paint, read or write.
