Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin spent a combined eight years working as nannies in Manhattan. Inside the Park Avenue penthouses of their employers, they were witness and accomplice to the nebulous lives of the NYC rich and privileged. Their first novel, The Nanny Diaries, was based on their real-life experiences. Citizen Girl is their second novel. Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin are both in their mid twenties and live in New York City.
