Sue Baker's view...
Coming to gardening late in life I’ve had to learn everything from books and I frequently end up puzzled and confused - how I wish I’d had The Complete Vegetable Grower when I started out. For Mr Harrison is a master of clarity and he explains the how and why. The humblest beginner could make a very good start with his guidance and have a good crop to show for it at the end of the season. I do hope he expands to fruit growing then even I might understand pruning.
