First Rhyme Mom

It’s a real talent to be able to put everything into a rhyme, but the author manages it in a very informative and humorous way, keeping you gripped all the way through; so much so I had finished the book before I knew it.

As I’m due to become a first time mum myself in a few weeks, I was intrigued by this book and the author’s perspective.  It is split into two halves, one half about pregnancy and the other half about the first few months of motherhood.  From the outset, I identified with a lot of what she was saying (about the pregnancy side) and it made me laugh a lot!

This is a really easy book to dip in and out of or read in one session and would highly recommend it for any pregnant or new mums.

A fun collection of poems told from a mother's perspective about pregnancy, birth and life post-baby. Some funny, some more contemplative. As a mother of two myself, I found them all very relatable.

A fun collection of poems told from a mother's perspective about pregnancy, birth and life post-baby. Some funny, some more contemplative. As a mother of two myself, I found them all very relatable. Some were a little clichèd especially Motherhood which seemed like a common Facebook viral thread. Others, like Core Thread, were more heartfelt. All very personal, but relatable to mothers who I'm sure will find themselves nodding and agreeing as I did.
