"Deadly Blind is a well written, enjoyable crime thriller which will keep you guessing as to “who” and “why” until the very end."
Set in the beautiful Irish locations of Dublin and Galway, Deadly Blind is a cracker of a detective thriller. Newly promoted Detective Inspector Naomi Fox leads the investigation into an abduction of a well known local business woman and her friend only to find out that one of them has been murdered. The plot twists and turns as D.I. Fox works tirelessly to try and solve this crime and understand the motive behind it. Karin Bolger is a successful wealthy local business woman living a luxurious lifestyle with her husband Finn Ellis. However, as a result of working on controversial projects, Karin finds her work stressful at times and loves to escape to her second home - a remote cottage set in a tranquil, rural location where she can truly relax. One weekend she heads off to the cottage with her close female friend Sive. When she fails to return home as expected, Karin’s husband contacts the police to raise the alarm that neither Karin, nor her friend have returned from their weekend break. D.I. Fox, supported by Detective Simon Callaghan, are assigned to the case which leads to a classic detective investigation involving a crime scene, forensic evidence and tense, gritty interviewing of suspects in the police station. In addition to the storyline, the author also alludes to challenges which senior women can encounter in male dominated workplaces through the characters of D.I. Fox and Karin Bolger. Deadly Blind is a well written, enjoyable crime thriller which will keep you guessing as to “who” and “why” until the very end.
