The Ethiopian Patriots Forgotten Voices of the Italo-Abyssinian War 1935-41

The Ethiopian Patriots Forgotten Voices of the Italo-Abyssinian War 1935-41 by Andrew Hilton

The last thing that the late, great journalist W. F. 'Bill' Deedes wrote was the foreword to this book. He knew that the story of the Ethiopians who fought against a modern European army prepared to use chemical weapons against them, initially with little more than spears and muskets, deserved to be told. Partly through their courageous efforts, the Allies achieved a swift victory in East Africa in World War II and kept the sea route to the East open.
