Garden Mosaics by Emma Biggs, Tessa Hunkin

Decorating and designing with mosaics has been popular for centuries. Mosaic is incredibly versatile and a whole range of effects can be achieved using ceramic, vitreous glass, marble, mirror or granite tiles. This stunning book explores the use of mosaic through 19 beautiful step-by-step projects for the garden. Adorned pots, garden figurines and ornaments, a bird bath and table, a sundial and more elaborate projects such as wall panels and stepping stones are just some of the projects featured in the book. With a comprehensive chapter on materials and techniques and clear step-by-step photographs and instructions throughout, this is the perfect guide for the beginner, as well as more experienced mosaic artist.

Lovereading is not only an amazing site, but it's one of my very favourites. It's like visiting a fascinating bookstore, but better.

Rebecca Jayne Barrett

Books of the month/debuts of the month, kids/adults, fiction/non-fiction, free prize draws and free extracts, what's not to love?

Emma Smith

It has enriched my leisure time by introducing me to a world of books which I would not have previously considered.

Val Rowe

Love books. Love reading. Love reading books. And, here's the trick. Here's a website which caters for people like me.

Ian Harvey-brown

It gives a chance to read about new titles, invites comments from all kinds of readers and is run by such a nice bunch of book lovers.

Joy Bosworth

It's the first site that I visit when deciding on the next set of books to buy. A particular treat is being able to download an extract.

Tessa Olson

I 'Lovereading' because it lets me see what new books are around with a detailed synopsis and readers' reviews.

Judith Sharp

They are bright, breezy and eager to offer a great book, then genuinely listen/respect the review one writes.
