In Tune with the Moon The Complete Day-by-Day Moon Planner for Growing and Living in 2011 by Michel Gros

This detailed guide to the day-by-day 2011 lunar cycles includes information on the waxing and waning moon, the constellations and the Chinese zodiac, and an abundance of gardening tips. The effects of the moon on plants, flowers, fruits, and vegetables are explained in simple but ample detail, and recommendations for the ideal times to sow, transplant, rotate crops, and harvest are provided. This guide explains how animal husbandry, beekeeping, and even brewing beer and wine making yield better results when done in concert with the lunar cycle. In addition to gardening and farming advice, suggestions for living life in tune with the moon are offered, such as the optimum time for a haircut, a fast, and even when and what to eat. An extensive color-coded daily diary section makes it easy to record reminders and daily gardening tasks. This biodynamic approach to gardening in harmony with the moon is a simple, inexpensive, and green way to boost garden yields and live a better life

If you've ever used a biodynamic calendar and were mystified by the apparent complexity, In Tune with the Moon could be just the ticket for you. This calendar is in book format and includes a lot of supporting information to help you understand how the moon and other astrological cycles influence growth of all kinds. - Jeri Lynn Chandler,

With rising numbers of home owners starting their own kitchen gardens, including first lady, Michelle Obama, and increasing efforts from top chefs like Jamie Oliver to encourage cooking and growing ingredients locally and organically, many gardeners are searching for alternatives to pesticides and fertilizers. Whether a home gardener, farmer or horticulturalist, In Tune with the Moon provides all the information needed to grow crops following biodynamic principles. The reader will discover the best time to sow and the best time to plant out, the best time to harvest and how to get better, healthier crops by working with the moon's energy. -New Consciousness Review

About the Author

Michel Gros was born in 1952 in France, near the Swiss border. Growing up on a farm he spent a childhood in close contact with the Earth and Nature. Later he realised that his studies in technical design were not leading him on the path he intended for his life. His real passion was organic farming and the environment. He felt the urge to help people to learn how to eat a healthy and vegetarian diet. In 1975 he became a professionally grower of organic vegetables. In 1979 he becomes part of the association of the Lunar Calendar, founded by Pierre-Henry Meunier. As an organic market gardener he carried out many trials and in-depth research on the influence of the moon. In 1993 he took over the moon calendar project with NoA l Vermot-Desroches. Since then the calendar has developed significantly to its present form. German and Spanish editions have been published since 1998. Followed by the English edition In Tune with the MoonA 10 years later (2008 and 2009 editions published by Findhorn Press in the UK, 2010 will be first full international version). In spite of the help of Michel's oldest son he had to stop market gardening in 2003 in order to have enough time to develop and distribute the 200.000 copies of the French Lunar calendar sold every year. But, of course, he is still gardening and carrying out tests to improve the content of the calendar.
