Edward C Smith has been growing all of his family's food for more than 40 years using organic techniques. He tends a 1,500 square feet garden at his home in Vermont, USA. As well as writing gardening books including the best-selling, The Vegetable Gardener's Bible, he teaches college courses in garden ecology and lectures on gardening throughout North America.
