A number of issues are addressed intended to allow athletes to avoid the most common pitfalls in strategic food planning, and to make the athletes' training and competing healthier and more efficient. Diets are discussed and evaluated. Weight-loss strategies as well as procedures for gaining lean muscle mass are focused. The book is intended to be user-friendly, informative and practical, always explaining why certain suggestions in regard to training, eating or dieting are made. Written by a Scientist, competitive bodybuilder and licensed private trainer, the book contents are solidly based on gym-floor practice and current research from a number of relevant fields of science.
