Avery McShane by Greg Lyons

Avery McShane by Greg Lyons

Hi! My name is Avery McShane. I live smack dab in the middle of nowhere in Venezuela. My best friends are Billy, Todd and my dog, Mati. Our adventures started when the bad guy Pablo Malo caught us trespassing and shot Todd in the butt with his shotgun full of rock salt . . . From then on everything got a mite out of control! Things got blown up, folks got kidnapped and there was a heckuva lot more gunplay - just like in my favourite western movies. Looking back, it was a pretty cool adventure, so that's why I've told the story. I really hope you like it!

About the Author

Greg Lyons was five weeks old when his parents brought him to live in an oil camp in El Monte, a jungly savannah near the Orinoco River in Venezuela. The adventures of Avery are an embellishment of his life as a boy there! After leaving Venezuela, Greg lived in Ecuador, Bolivia, Iran, and also California, where he read for a degree in earth science. Greg loves football and once even played professional football against Diego Maradona's team from Argentina. He has worked in the oil business for many years, travelling to Russia, North Africa, the Middle East and his beloved Latin America. Greg is now a full-time writer and lives in Washington. He has three sons.
