Penne Ainsworth, Ph.D., CPA, CMA (inactive), and CIA (inactive), is Emeritus Professor, University of Wyoming. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and is the former Chairperson and emeritus professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance. She was also the Associate Dean for the College of Business at the University of Wyoming. She received the AICPA Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award in 2016. Her research focused on managerial accounting, accounting education, and assessment. She has been published in-Issues in Accounting Education and other journals.
