Lowestoft Within Living Memory is a fresh new look at the town’s relatively recent history. In a place once famed for its fishing fleet, shipbuilding and coachworks, we see plethora of photographs of people going about their daily work and at play, as well as stunning images of the changing town which have not been published before. Images of the seaside and fishing fleet, the townscape and rapid post-war development feature here, as well as the demise of local industry and above all, Lowestoft’s people.
