A Quincy Jones by Cory Buckner

A Quincy Jones by Cory Buckner

The first book published on pioneering Los Angeles architect and educator Archibald Quincy Jones (1913-79) is now available in paperback. Jones shared the Case Study goal of architects such as Richard Neutra of reinventing the house as a way of redefining the way people lived in postwar America. Illustrated with an unparalleled collection of vintage photographs by renowned architecture photographers including Julius Shulman and Marvin Rand, this book is the perfect introduction to the work of a man whose projects are quintessential examples of mid-20th-century American architecture.

About the Author

Cory Buckner is a practising architect and writer who bought a house designed by Jones and began to research his work. She obtained her architecture degree from the California Institute of the Arts and an MA in Architectural History at the University of California, Los Angeles.
