This book considers various topics regarding stroke, including bedside evaluation of the acute stroke patient; neurovascular imaging of the acute stroke patient; treatment of acute ischemic stroke; treatment of hemorrhagic stroke; prevention and management of post-stroke complications; diagnosis of stroke mechanism and secondary stroke prevention; post-stroke recovery; and considerations for very elderly and severely affected stroke patients. It is essential reading for neurologists and cardiologists.
