About the Author

Dr Nick Barratt Phd. has worked for the Public Records Office and the BBC as a specialist researcher. In 2000 Nick founded Sticks Research Agency (SRA). Major projects include the research for the BBC's flagship genealogy programme Who Do You Think You Are. Nick has also researched, presented and appeared on many TV programmes such as Hidden House Histories, So You Think You're Royal and House Detectives. Nick has his own weekly column in the Daily Telegraph and has published several books.
