Patagonian Mesozoic Reptiles by

Patagonian Mesozoic Reptiles

Part of the Life of the Past Series

Patagonian Mesozoic Reptiles by

Distant and exotic, Patagonia has been one of the most attractive places for explorers and paleontologists. The amazing diversity of its fauna and flora, the richness of its fossil record, and the variety of its paleoenvironments, all contribute to making Patagonia the focal point for the study of the history of life on Earth. Patagonian Mesozoic Reptiles gathers in a single volume-and for the first time-our current knowledge about the evolution of the region and its reptiles. Each contribution amply demonstrates that Patagonia during the Mesozoic provides a distinct perspective on the evolution of life during a key chapter in the geological history of this region.

This peer-reviewed compilation of papers is intended to represent the current body of knowledge of reptilian paleontology from the southernmost portion of South America. . . . The writing is consistently well edited, and there is little variability in quality between the chapters. . . . Recommended. * Choice * . . . this edited volume provides an excellent overview of the current state of the art as it concerns Mesozoic Patagonian reptiles, and will remain an invaluable resource for anyone interested in Mesozoic reptiles, or vertebrate paleontology in general, for years to come.Vol. 84, March 2009 -- Oliver Rieppel * Geology, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, Illinois *

A well laid out site, I love the fact that is separates paranormal fiction from fantasy and horror, which other sites don't.
