Synopsis

The Shark in the Dark by Peter Bently

Will the flustered fish become saltwater snacks, or can they come up with a plan to teach the mean, greedy shark a lesson he'll never forget? With atmospheric underwater scenes and a terrifically toothy villain, this captivating rhyming story is perfect for reading aloud. Tremendously funny with a biting twist!

About the Author

Peter Bently studied languages at Oxford. He lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes with his wife and a perfect ready-made audience of two young children. He enjoys visiting schools and sharing his writing. Inspired by living close to the sea, THE SHARK IN THE DARK is Peter's first picture book for Macmillan. Ben Cort studied illustration at Harrow College. His first picture book for Macmillan, COLOUR ME HAPPY (978-1-4050-0909-6) was published in 2007, and his work for Campbell Books, including MUDDLE JUNGLE, has enjoyed great success.
