Selected by Sarah Broadhurst

This highly original, dark (v v dark) and sinister thriller breaks all the rules; such as switching from 1st, 2nd and 3rd person and having a highly fragmented timeline, but it delivers something thrillingly different. Four friends set up an agency to say ‘sorry’ and allow company executives to be absolved of guilt - but does that mean anyone can be absolved of anything with a simple transfer of cash?

If you like Zoran Drvenkar you might also like to read books by Thomas Harris, Stephen King and Mo Hayder.

Synopsis

Sorry by Zoran Drvenkar

Berlin. Four friends. One extreme idea. One of the most gripping thrillers ever written. Kris, Tamara,Wolf and Frauke set up an agency called Sorry. An agency to right wrongs. Unfair dismissals, the wrongly accused: everyone has a price, and Sorry will find out what it is. It's as simple as that. What they hadn't counted on was their next client being a cold-hearted killer. But who is the killer and why has he killed? Someone is mocking them and hell is only just beginning.
